Celazome Penetrates the Skin for Smooth Results

As we age, our skin begins to lose its elasticity. This simply means that when we smile, frown or pretty much make any movement in our faces, the skin has a harder time going back into its original place. What this basically translates to is the appearance of lines and wrinkles. And for those of us who wish to maintain our smooth, youthful looks, this fact of life can be quite harrowing.

I have many friends who, while only in their thirties, insist upon buying skin creams and lotions to combat the signs of aging. The thing is, however, they often report that such products produce “minimal” to no significant results. “It’s frustrating,” one of them reported recently, “You’d think with all the money I’ve spent, I’d see some kind of difference.”

The difference she was looking for, by the way, was the disappearance of lines surrounding her eyes. The feeling that they make her look “older” and “tired” is among the reasons she has resorted to store-bought solutions to regain her younger look. The reason that these products may not be working for her is because such skin care products likely only treat the skin’s surface.

What is needed is “nanotechnology”. What the heck is that you ask? As explained on the Celazome website, Celazome skin care products use nanotechnology – a penetrating delivery of key ingredients to the epidermal layer of the skin. The patented technology known as Lyphazome® has been shown to have much more significant results in the wrinkle-busting department than your average skin care product. The site goes on to explain that tiny delivery vessels known as “nanospheres” are used to encapsulate ingredients such as pharmaceutical-quality bioactives, actives and moisturizers. When applied, the nanospheres penetrate the skin, going a lot further than the skin care products that generally just coat the skin’s surface. What they end up doing is forming a partnership with the skin.

This encourages skin cell repair, strengthening the skin’s natural lipid barrier. The end result? Stronger, smoother and healthier skin! Those who have used Celazome products to improve the look of their skin have reported witnessing significant results within two weeks of their initial applications. Your average store-bought skin care products, these are not!

The Celazone website clarifies exactly why their products are more effective. In each Celazome formula, it reports, there is a minimum composition of 80 percent nanosphere-encapsulated ingredients. What this ensures is that your skin is fed the appropriate nutrients all throughout the day, promoting a constant rejuvenation of skin cells.

The other 20 percent non-encapsulated ingredients found in Celazome products provide benefits to the surface of the skin. These formulas were developed from over 14 years of research and development. Varicose and Spider Veins be Gone!

Each and every year around this time, us ladies begin thinking about what to wear in the coming months. Spring is coming. And summer won’t be too long after that. For most people, the feeling that warmer weather is on the horizon is a warm one – no pun intended. It’s hard not to enjoy wearing lighter clothing and enjoying the sunshine and heat that comes with it.

That is, of course, unless you have spider veins in your legs. See, for those of us that experience spider and varicose veins, the impending warmer months bring about a sense of trepidation. I have a few friends and relatives who insist on wearing long pants no matter how hot the day is, simply to cover up what they consider to be “unsightly” veins.

What’s the deal with these veins anyway? According to WomensHealth.gov, varicose veins are formed due to either weak or damaged valves in the veins. Our hearts pump oxygen and nutrients throughout our bodies. Veins carry blood from the body back to the heart. When we squeeze our leg muscles, blood is pushed back to the heart from our lower bodies.

The website goes on to explain that the valves in our veins act as one-way flaps. That way, blood cannot go in the opposite direction and flow backwards or down into our legs. So what happens if the valves become weak or damaged? The blood that is supposed to be flowing towards our hearts begins building up in certain spots. This is known as “venous insufficiency”, says WomenHealth.gov.

The more blood that gets backed up, the bigger the veins get. As they swell, they become more visible and become those “unsightly” varicose veins. Spider veins, by the way, are also caused when blood is backed up. But hormone changes, exposure to the sun and various injuries can also produce spider veins. So what do to do about all of this?

Are we all going to be forced to wear long pants throughout each summer season? It doesn’t sound fair, does it? Well, not to worry. If you are experiencing the appearance of varicose and spider veins in your legs, there is a solution. It’s known as Sclerotherapy. It may as well also be known as your “summer saver” as this treatment will allow you to do away with hot long pants on those muggy days of summer.

What is Sclerotherapy exactly? Known as the “gold standard” in the world of eliminating varicose and spider veins, sclerotherapy uses an injectable solution (over a laser) to close what are known as “feeder veins” under the skin. The solution is made up of a “dilute sclerosant” which works to not only make varicose and spider veins disappear, but make it so that such veins have trouble ever reappearing.

Usually, at least two treatments are recommended for maximum results. Over the course of the weeks following the treatments, patients are advised to walk regularly to get the blood circulation flowing throughout the body properly. Are you looking to do away with your varicose and spider veins? Contact The Aurora Medical Laser & Vein Centre at 403-358-5818 for more information on Sclerotherapy.

Peel Your Skin Problems Away

In last week’s blog, we highlighted the wonders of chemical peel treatments. While they are commonly regarded as excellent methods of keeping our skin looking fresh and youthful, they have a number of other benefits as well. They also work wonders in the treatment of wrinkles, sun damage, acne, rosacea and skin discolouration.

Although the concept of a “peel”, may sound painful, the opposite is true. We’re not talking about the kind of peel that takes place after excessive sun bathing. Believe me, a sun burn is no fun. And just in case you’ve forgotten, sitting out in the sun and baking your skin is no way to keep a fresh and youthful look. Keep that in mind when summer rolls around!

Chemical peels, on the other hand, provide a gentle removal of dead, dry layers of skin cells. The end result is the revelation of fresh, glowing skin that was previously hiding in the layer underneath. One of the chemical peel treatments that provide these types of results is known as Excelladerm Microdermabrasion. Don’t be put off by the big words!

The name may sound a bit fancy, but this simple and painless technique is a great way to give your skin that “fresh new look”. There are actually a few versions of this treatment that are designed to treat different skin types and different skin conditions. There is a family, so to speak, of chemical peels to choose from. Which one do you think would be right for you?

Illuminize Peel. This unique treatment combines a new generation of alpha hydroxyl acids with Phytic Acid. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? Don’t let the word “acid” scare you. These solutions are designed to simply rejuvenate your skin with very little irritation. If you’re looking to illuminate your youthful features, the Illuminize Peel just may be the one for you.

Patients who receive this treatment often report that their skin is more “glowing” and radiant. The skin is also noticeably tighter, eliminating the dreary, sagging look that is common with old age. Skin texture is also clearer and skin tone is more even. And the best part? There is very little downtime or discomfort following an Illuminize Peel.

Medique Peel. Acne, believe it or not, is a concern for people of all ages. Although it is most prevalent in teens and adolescents, adults with cystic acne can take solace in knowing that the Medique Peel is known as an effective solution. In addition to acne, sun damage, discoloured skin, fine lines and wrinkles can also be treated with this type of peel.

Vitalize Peel. Are age spots becoming a problem for you? The Vitalize Peel uses a clinically proven formula to effectively smoothen out and correct age spots. Wrinkles, facial lines and acne can also be treated with the Vitalize Peel. For more information on this and all other chemical peels, contact The Aurora Medical Laser & Vein Centre at 403-358-5818.

Chemical Peels Help Peel Away the Years

The wish to look young is certainly not exclusive to any gender. Both men and women strive to keep youthful appearances in their own ways. Of course, healthy dieting and regular exercise will always be recommended methods for us all to stay young. But naturally, the signs of aging are bound to creep up on all of us at one point or another.

This is nothing to be afraid of. As we age, our skin begins to lose some of its elasticity. As a result, the lines that tend to form on our faces have a bit of a harder time going back to their smoothed out, flattened positions. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just peel off that older layer of skin to reveal fresher, younger skin underneath?

Well, perhaps that sounds a bit morbid. But it is actually something that we can all do! Now, don’t go getting images of horror movies in your mind. The peeling off of our facial skin that I’m referring to is actually a painless process. Chemical peels are special treatments that work to correct a number of skin conditions and help you get the smoother, clearer skin you remember having as a youngster.

In fact, there is a wonderful array of products displayed on PCASkin.com that we can use at home. But you may be wondering exactly how chemical peels actually work. PCA Skin posted a great video on YouTubethat helps to clear up some questions you may be having. “Chemical peel treatments work by speeding up skin cell renewal,” informs the video’s narrator.

She goes on to explain how the totally painless peeling takes effect. Dull surface skin begins to flake away after the chemical peel solution is gently applied to the facial area. This helps to reveal a fresher, younger appearance of skin. Both a smoother complexion and improved skin tone are two of the benefits of receiving a chemical peel.

Treatments have been shown to greatly improve upon a number of skin conditions. They include wrinkles, sun damage, acne, rosacea and skin discolouration. The PCA Skin website, in fact, showcases a number of astonishing before and after pictures to demonstrate how chemical peels successfully treated the above mentioned conditions.

In addition, hyperpigmentation, psoriasis, sensitive skin and other signs of aging can also be addressed by chemical peels and their affiliated products. In the video, the narrator also points out another great benefit of getting chemical peel treatments. This isn’t surgery, so there is no downtime. You can even book an appointment for a chemical peel on your lunch break.

62 year-old Herlinda describes her satisfaction with her chemical peel treatment in the video. “After a few days…my skin looked smoother,” she explains, “and I felt as though I didn’t need to go outdoors and put makeup on right away…I felt healthy.” If you’d like more information on chemical peels, feel free to contact The Aurora Medical Laser & Vein Centre at 403-358-5818.
