HIGH SPEED - LightSheer® DUETTM Permanent Hair Reduction:
There is a better solution for removing unwanted hair. You may be surprised to learn that virtually your entire body is covered with hair. Because most of this hair is fine and pale, it usually isn’t visible to the naked eye. But, when darker, coarser hair appears in places which make you uncomfortable, it may be time to consider hair removal with LightSheer DUET.
In the past, remedies for unwanted hair included plucking, shaving, waxing, electrolysis or chemical depilatories. Some are painful. Some are messy, and all are only temporary. Laser hair removal is a more effective solution. The High Speed LightSheer DUET uses state-of- the-art diode lasers with vacuum-assist technology to remove unwanted hair and with greater speed and comfort than other methods.
The LightSheer DUET offers your physician two handpiece choices depending on your needs. The LightSheer High Speed handpiece uses breakthrough vacuum assisted technology in combination with diode laser light to allow rapid Vacuum-assist technology and the large spot size make hair removal fast and comfortable, without the need for topical anesthetics and gels and comfortable treatment of large areas. A back or legs can now be treated in 15 to 20 minutes, without the need for topical numbing creams.
The LightSheer DUET also offers your physician the gold standard LightSheer ETTM handpiece with ChillTip® cooling for smaller areas. The LightSheer DUET allows your physician to truly customize treatment for your hair type, skin type and lifestyle.
What does laser hair removal feel like?
Laser hair removal gives the sensation of an elastic band flick or a small poke, but this only lasts a fraction of a second.
How many treatments will I need?
Approximately 5/6 treatments are required, however this varies from person to person. Pigment in the hair (hair color) and personal tolerance play a role in the number of treatments required.
How often do I come for a treatment?
Normally treatments on the body are spaced at 6 weeks a part. Treatments above the neck are 4 weeks apart.
How can I prepare for a laser treatment?
The area to be treated must be shaven of all hair, but NOT waxed, plucked or threaded for at least 3-4 weeks prior. Topical numbing cream is only needed for smaller areas on the Face and Bikini line, with the LightSheer DUET larger areas do not need a topical cream.
