We’ve spent the majority of May blogging about some of the Aurora Medical Laser & Vein Centre’s top laser treatments. BroadBand Light and laser hair removal were among them. While both of these treatments offer you different ways of achieving a smoother, youthful look for your skin, there is another laser treatment that requires some praise.
Laser tattoo removal is quickly becoming one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the world. We can’t say we’re all that surprised. Tattoos, while meant to last forever, don’t exactly make sense in the long-term. As time passes, fashion senses change. You’re not wearing the same clothes you wore ten years ago, are you?
Many people remove their tattoos because they’ve outgrown them.
One of our colleagues tattooed a baseball on his right shoulder when he was in high school. And why not, right? Baseball is his favourite sport. Nothing much has changed by way of his affection for the game. However, our colleague is now a physician. He no longer wishes to have a baseball on his shoulder. Age changes all of us. It’s a good thing our laser tattoo removal can help you to make some much-needed changes.
“People outgrow tattoos,” agrees Ontario’s Precision Laser Tattoo Removal, “Some of the things you thought were cool in your 20s may not exactly mesh with today’s version of you.” However, some people don’t need any time to pass at all before they begin regretting their decisions to get tattoos.”
Instant regret – it’s a thing.
We’ve all experienced instances when we’ve immediately regretted a decision. Getting a tattoo, however, has long-lasting ramifications. Many people admit to being intoxicated when deciding to get their tattoos. Some others explain that they lost bets. And so many other people simply hate their final outcomes. The designs they chose didn’t quite come out as they expected. So, almost immediately after getting their tattoos, they wanted them gone forever.
“For some people, getting a tattoo seems like a great idea, until they actually get it and regret it instantly,” says Precision Laser, “This is often the case when people make an impulsive decision to get a tattoo without thinking it through. That goofy tattoo may seem like a good idea in the moment, but we all know it can end up being an eyesore and embarrassment in the future.”
At Aurora, we use Q-switched Nd: YAG lasers using PhotoAcoustic Technology.
They are known to safely penetrate the skin and target each tattoo ink colour with specific wavelengths, causing tattoos to gradually fade during a course of 5 to 15 treatment sessions. Most lasers only have two wavelengths but the advanced RevLite features four wavelengths to target a wide range of colours, from blue, black and red, to orange and purple, and even difficult to treat green and sky blue.
